CPU cooling bracket stuck to motherboard

So I have a thermaltake bracket stuck on a motherboard my friend gave me (probably why he gave it to me). Any suggestions on how to get it off without wrecking the motherboard?

So after an hour of carefully using an exacto knife, got the bracket off.. bot now I'm stuck with this mess... Leave it on or is there a way to get rid of it?

Try heating it up with a hairdryer then prising it off

Eventually buy compressed air in a can for hardware cleaning

is it just stuck in with the plastic bits for the screws or has it melted to the board or something? try heating it and pulling it off.

I did some research and found out he must have had the "Thermaltake Big Typhoon". The bracket had some foam on it and some adhesive. So I used an exacto knight and cut along the top edge as best as I could and then pulled the bracket off, so all that's left is just the foam.
