Cpu Dead???

So...i had a bad motherboard...confirmed it by sending it back and the manufacturer telling me so. SO i bought a new one. Here's what i got:

AsRock P4V88
INtel Celeron D 2.4
Rosewill DDR 400, 256mb
Asus X-series V9400

i took the ram out and got some beeps...
took the vid card out and got some beeps...
reinstalled everything but now get no beeps at all. Could this be a bad CPU??
Any other ideas??

k...i reset the cmos and got it to beep. It beeped repeatedly and fast with a white screen and flashing line like in dos. any idea what this means...the manual does not cover post beeps

Now connect a HDD .. does anything change?
