cpu fan 3pin on fan 4 on motherboard

this 3rd party cpu fan has a 3pin connecter on it and the motherboard has a 4 pin when i turn on the system it says cpu fan has failed press f2 to save ur system, but the fan is spinning just fine?

This may be happening because your motherboard is not able to control the cpu fan with the bios. This may cause it to think that there is a failure with the fan when it is still running perfect. I have heard that you can turn off the notifications but i am not sure where. Try disabling cool n quite in the bios. That might stop the error.

i got it. it was that the case fans all plug into the psu and it thought there was no case fans cuz none were connected to the motherboard
