CPU Fan Error!

I seem to be getting an Error when I boot up. I just reinstalled an XP 90c heatsink. The fan is working 100%, as I can see it running through the side window on my case, not to mention my cpu temp is at 35c right now.

I noticed the default heatsink was a 4 pin, the new fan is a 3 pin, is this what's causing the error?

How can I fix this so the error doesn't come up?

I'm not sure how you can fix it, but I'm assuming the error is there because it thinks that there is something wrong with your fan because there is no fan control plugged in... there may be some option in the BIOS, but probably not. What kind of error is it giving?
