I have a problem on my 2nd pc....I put a brand new mobo in it...it's a P4 socket 478 and the freaking fan runs full blast all the time. It is pretty noisy. I checked BIOS settings which is set to control the fan speed and should be fine. I also went into the utility that gigabyte provides for the CPU fan manitor and stuff, and there is nothing to change or adjust except for warning levels. I tried with other fans, and they all run full blast. Is the sensor on the mobo bad? I don't feel like sending the mobo back, just for this issue so is there another way to handle this? I thought maybe there is a heat pipe fanless solution I can use, and maybe just pop another case fan or two in there....??? any help greatly appreciated!!!!! It's a 3 Ghz P4 HT CPU.
