CPU Fan on overdrive!

I took my pc apart the other day to give it a good clean, now its back together it works fine but the CPU fan stays on consantly. This was never the case before as it only used to speed up when the CPU workload was high. Ive checked the connection and it all seems fine. The comuter is less than a year old so i cant image the fan is broke alrady.

Any ideas?

This usually happens when the tach sensor isn't working. Recheck your fan wires to make sure you didn't break any of 'em, especially at the plug.
