CPU Fan STOPPED

I've just made another discovery. I decided to run 3dmark05...once i got to the cpu part the fan started to kick in again..once it got into the 40+celcius range...now as 3dmark05 is over it starts a steady decline towards 0 once more. This seems like a BIOS or software problem rather than a hardware one.

I would agree. It seems like your fan controllers may be corrupted or something. If you know how, possibly try flashing the BIOS and see if that helps.

I have decided to disable Q-Fan....thus fixing the problem, keeping all my fans at max rpm.

Hi, i recently installed my ATI x850 pro and i soon noticed that my cpu fan had just totally stopped moving. My system specs are below...which indicates i have more than a 350 watt psu.

Thanks
Shoulnd't be a power problem. I'm running a 6800 on a 250 watt psu for almost a year now without any hiccups.
