when i started up my computer when i first put in the motherboard it said, "CPU has been changed or unworkable - Check CPU Soft Menu". What can i do to fix it? I have an abit is7. The motherboard seems to attract many problems like this from other consumers.

I had the same situation today. Go into the bios, under the SoftMenu you are able to chose what your CPU's clock is. If what is set there and what you really have don't match up, you will get that message. Just choose your CPUs stock clock and FSB, and you're good to go.

i had that message when my northbridge fan stops working. as soon as fan start running (after the fix) cpu start running normal. so maybe you wanna check your northbridge fan.
