CPU Heatsink/Fan for mid-tower

Hey Im starting to order parts and I just got my case in today, its an Thermaltake Armor mid-sized case. I need to get a cpu heatsink/fan but I dont know what to get that will fit this case. I was looking at the xigmatek dark night but from reading reviews it probably wont fit in my case especially since I have a window fan. Can anyone recommend a good-performing + quiet heatsink/fan combo that isnt too large where it will fit in the case?

Also, do i even need the window fan? the case comes with it and its huge like 220mm or something along those lines
 
If the Xigmatek is in fact too tall then your choices are limited. You could go with the Corsair H50.
 
yea thats the case. I decided to skip on the cpu cooler for now and just use the stock one. It will prevent me from OC'ing the minute i load windows haha. Ill just add it later on down the road, even if i have to remove the mobo
 
Fair enough. Got to say though the MB OCs nicely. Hit 4.2 with mine within an hour of installation. :D
 
haha exactly what I would have tried if i got the heatsink. Just ordered everything, now I gotta play the waiting game again....dammit....
