I want to build a computer mostly for casual gaming(I want good gameplay), but I also need it for music, internet, and work. I was looking at the intel P4 631, will this do the job or should I look at something else?

I would look at a very low end Core 2 Duo (perhaps the E4300 or E6300) if you can stretch that far, or else a low end AMD X2 (ie, the X2 3800+ or the X2 3600+)

Core 2 duo E6300 and an eVGA 680i mobo would fit your budget, and leave a lot of room for future upgrades.

I would recommend the first and get a after market HSF.

As far as mobo's go, get a Gigabyte.

OHHH. Then in that case, get the E6600, a great heatsink/fan, and then for the motherboard, get a 680i. They have tons of room for overclocking and future technology. I have the eVGA 680i board and love it.
