CPU installation(part 2)

Hi, I just got my CPU yesterday, Its a P4 3.4ghzHT, I posted a question 2 days ago bout thermal compound application, I check the bottom part of the heatsink and it has a square colored gray thing on the bottom, is this a thermal compound? shoul this be enough for my CPU? :) :)
 
That was I was saying, but Im not sure coz Its my first time to see one of this retailed CPU, so I guess I wouldnt be needing a thermal compound if thats the case.
 
You should be able to use that although if you want to get thermalgrease make sure you scrub that HSF clean :)
 
Thanks a lot guys, after a month of researching ang gathering information from this forum, its not that really hard to set up a PC, with your help it made it a lot more easier.
