CPU issues

i bought a CPU 4 my compaq a while back, and put it in, but it's still being read as a 345MHZ CPU, and not 475MHZ? is there any reason why? i think that my original CPU was a 98MHZ FSB, and this 1 is 100MHZ FSB, im really not sure, they both may be the same FSB, ny help would be appreciated :) .
 
monkeysims, i think he's on these forums, has a couple old systems 2 :cool:, not he only 1 that has older systems.

i know the CPU is a AMD K6-2, but i'll find out.
