CPU overclock problem

I have an e8500 and i got the fsb to 1480 and the multiplier to 9.5, when i set the fsb to 1500 i get stuck at a black screen and have to reboot. WHY? could i have some help?

you need to increase your vcore.

the voltage? by how much? im new to overclocking sorry

just a notch at first. get it to boot. then run prime95 until it crashes, or for about 2 hours if it doesn't. if you get ANY errors at all stop the workers, reboot and increase the voltage another notch and start stress testing again.

when u say a notch you mean like .1 volts? or something like that?

you aren't exactly giving us very much information on your overclock. It can be a single setting or it can be a combination of several things.
