to get a correct approximation from other websites... bytw I am talking stock

that temp is that normal? or acceptable? just installed new gpu ati 4870

You live in florida? There are colder places in the world... if ambient temps are high, it's no surprise if your computer's running hot. How hot is it in the room your computer's located in? What kind of load temps do you get on your CPU/GPU? Your problem could be bad airflow as well... how are your fans set up?

What are you using to watch your temperatures?

I've heard many programs did not support the E8400/45nms yet and were giving out incorrect temperatures. The Zalman 9700 is a great cooler, and as long as you applied the correct amount of thermal compound and attached it correct, it should remain trouble-free.
