CPU % question??

Can anyone tell me why in task manager the system idle process uses 97% CPU but then on the bottom my CPU usage is only about 7%.
 
System Idle process doesn't actually use any CPU power. It's a halt state process that makes the CPU use less power and generate less heat.
 
Basically, the processing percentage under "System Idle Processes" should be approximately equal to 100 minus all of the other percentages.
