CPU Support

I recently ordered a high end video card (5870) and I am looking to upgrade my CPU to maximize the performance of the video card. I looked up the CPU support for my motherboard and it doesn't look like any compatible CPU listed will meet my needs. The Agena 9950 would probably work but my motherboard can only handle 95W.

CPU Support: http://us.msi.com/index.php?func=prodcpusupport&prod_no=1415&maincat_no=1

Will a Phenom II with 95W work with my motherboard even though it is not listed as a category under CPU compatibility? (ie http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...103656&cm_re=phenom_II-_-19-103-656-_-Product)

If not, what would be my best solution?

Current Hardware Details:

Current CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103211

Thanks in advance for any advice!

No, the Phenom II is not listed on the supported CPUs, Ideally for the best performance on that motherboard, id try locating a Phenom 9750 and upgrade the BIOS. The only way to go faster in the CPU department over that 9750 is to upgrade the full motherboard unfortunately.

Would the 8750 be good enough to support that video card or would I be better off getting a new processor and motherboard?
