cpu temp strangely high

usually my cpu (3500+) stays around 30-35 (idle and load). for some reason right now, it wont get under 38 even at dead idle. ****all my other temps are the same as usual****, which is making me worry. the fan doesnt look to be dying, so i dont know whats going on?

douse it in ice as soon as possible so that it doesn't burst into flames..

I would say thats a good temp, no worries..
 
the temp is alright other than the 45c load. just reapplied some arctic silver. it helped 1-2 degrees at the moment lol

Where do you live? Keep in mind... it's almost summer now. If the temperature around it is warmer, then the CPU will be warmer.
 
ok im cool, lol...im not too familiar with the temps. From what i remember a while back they were lower so i was just checkin :P
 
the problem, which i based the thread upon, is that ****ONLY the cpu temp has risen****, which doesnt make any sense
