CPU temp

ok, i got a amd 64 3800+ (939) and i am using an arctic cooling freezer 64 pro to cool it, im also using the arctic cooling compund which is supposed to be very good and if not just as good as arctic silver. Well i put it on and its been running with the freezer 64 for around a week now, its running at 2,400rpm and my abit motherboard software (abit EQ) is displaying the temprature at 67C.

Then i thought this must be off, so i looked at other software to monitor it, i downloaded core temp and now that is saying 60C. Why is it running that hot, im barely doing anything with the computer.

either yuo didnt put the nHSF on right, or atrctic cooling compound is not as good as u thought

Don't forget the ambient temperature of the room and case cooling.

If the heat has nowhere to go, then the biggest fan in the world won't help.
