I have an Athlon 64 (939) and just bought an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester CPU. What is recommended that I do to make this upgrade? Do I need to update my BIOS, driver of some sort, etc...? I plan on doing this as soon as I get an answer...so I appreciate your help.

The CPU should install fine without any driver reinstalling, but you might want to check that you have the latest drivers just for performance.

For upgrading a cpu you generally only need to remove one to see the other dropped inplace along with the fresh application of thermal paste/compound. You then have to go through the recommended breakin time for that before ocing. You shouldn't need any bios update unless you have an early version for that model board.

Checking for the latest if you see problems or to stay current is optional. AMD does have a patch available for XP while Vista already has all it needs for dual core models.
