CPU usage

When I open Windows Task Manager, under the 'Processes' tab, it tells me:

Image Name: System Idle Process
User Name: SYSTEM
CPU: 98
Mem Usage: 28k

Im pretty sure that the number under the CPU column is the percentage of the processing power being used, (Please tell me if i am wrong) but im not sure if I should be worried about the fact that there is always a high amount under "System Idle Process". At the moment I am guessing that System Idle Process is the reserved processing power that is used when needed but I'm not 100% sure.

Mine is:

Image Name: System Idle Process
User Name: SYSTEM
CPU: 99
Mem Usage: 28k

JAN :D I don't know what it is actually but I can tell you that I think that that figure changes according to how much the other processes take up.

mines around 97%, but i dont think it actually uses that much of your cpu, because if you look at the performance tab, mine is only around 2-3%

It is an inverse measure of you much of your cpu time (cycles) are being used by other apps. So if its at 95% then thats just a measure of how much resources your system has free :)
