Cpu variations

Hi,

i read somewhere that There are variations in how far each individual CPU will Overclock with the same voltage/cooling. This is because of the way CPUs are manufactured is this true? and if so why?

i thought they like come of a production line so they would all be the same

or would have to be the same

When they make a waffer of cores they dont make a bunch of like X2 4600. The waffer will have cores that run stable from like a X2 3800 to a X2 6400. So what ever MHZ the core runs stable at, at a given voltage is what its marked as. So you can have a X2 4600 that just made the grade and another X2 4600 that almost could have been a X2 4800 but didnt. So one will clock alittle better than the other. The same applies to Intel.
