which voltage's are the ones that run the temps up on the processor?

v core?
cpu vtt?
nb and sb core?

VCore is the voltage for the processor itself.

does the motherboard automatically put more than needed there? i wrote down all my voltages before i OC'd, im oc'd, running lower voltage, stable, and running cooler than i was at stock at idle, load is within 1 degree

is there a downside to running lower voltage?

If you have the VCore voltage set to Auto, then it may raise the voltage when you raise the FSB, but most likely not. The only downside to running a lower voltage is that it's more likely to become unstable under load.

Yes, lower voltage does mean lower temps. I would run Orthos for at least several hours.
