Their stock vcore is 1.400v regardless of the core revision. And second, i have an AMD Sempron 2800+ socket 754,
Whatever the mobo limits you to.what would you say is the max voltage i can go?
In that case, dont bother bumping Vcore or if you have to, just one notch reallySince i can only overclock from 1.6 to 1.78Ghz without affecting the SATA drives.
Nice thing about the 2800s is that they are all 1.400v regardless of the core revYou can figure out everything by looking at your OPN #.
1. Well what does the description for the latest BIOS say?what annoys me the most is the SATA problems that i have, is there a way to get around this or w/e since i would like to overclock some more. Would the latest BIOS help? or is there something in the BIOS that i need to change?
I have no idea. Goto MSI's website and download the BIOS for your motherboard ... if you dont download a random MSI BIOS then you'll be ok (i.e., common sense). From what the description says you probably wont need the update unless your CPU's OPN is SDA2800AIO3B0 or SDA2800AIO3BX (in a pinch you can read the OPN right off the chip itself)Is this BIOS compatible?:
