Cpu !!?

hey there. right keep this quick i upgraded my cpu from 3200 939 to 3800 X2

but ive got to a point where i cant get very far. my keyboard has ceased to0 function in the bios. I get a boot up message in post saying cmos battery low(so i bought a new one) same problem. and i cant get into bios because it isnt recognising my keyboard input for some pathetic reason.

then it goes on and says please insert a boot device or something. which is my hard drive obviously. but i persume that isnt working because the bios is messed up.

ive tried resetting the bios but no real joy.

help please :(

im officially out of ideas pretty worrying.
 
You could try installing or updating you bios. Go to your motherboard web site. Usually you can get upgraded or stock bios settings. Thats all i can think of.

When you replaced the battery it reset your bios

You might need to get a PS/2 keyboard and get into the bios and enable USB keyboard support and reset your boot drive to your harddrive
