CPU's overheating and getting bluescreen after years of no problems?

I built my computer two years ago with no problems, now my CPU is overheating , I applied thermal paste and its still overheating, its idle temp is 58-62c ....I constantly get a blue screen, all my fans are running nothing has changed my RAM is good I dont know what the problem can be, can anyone help me out please, I cant even game without the blue screen coming up to protect the cpu from overburning, Its not Overclocked its underclocked and still having problems !!

As for the problem,Have you tripple checked that you are you mounting the cooler properly?

What cooler is it?
Whats your system specs?

Using the stock cooler? Did this happen all at once, just started overheating like from one day to the next? If so just because the CPU fan is spinning doesnt mean its running at the RPM is supposed to. Have you cleaned out the heatsink and the fan or looked at it see if it has dust build up?
 
Its Currently underlocked , what should the fan RPM be spinning at? Im running a Sabertooth 990FX Board with 8gigs of Ram, Two Nvidia 560 SLI, One Slolidstate 60gb and one normal 2TB Drive, Dust is cleaned out power is fine I think, IDK what to do!
 
did you take of the cpu cooler a time back or is it still like 2 years ago.
if its still the same take it of and see how the thermal paste is now.
 
What is your power supply model? I'm sure that underclock can cause issue. Trying make it stock. Reset bios setting. As well as uninstalling ASUS driver for fan controller.

What CPU? Which cooler? How did you apply paste?
