So I'm playing Fallout 3 last night, about 4am, dark house, nobody around. Went into the hospital for Reilley's Rangers Quest, through the first set of double doors.

Walking on in and hear a baby cry, then BOOOOM!!! (well maybe not that big)

It scared me to death, what on earth possessed someone to put baby cries in that game? I just about totally freaked out when I heard it!

So I reloaded my (recent) save and went back in to have a look-see. That trap is one of the creepiest, weirdest things in fallout 3 (apart from the dunwich bldg.). What with the baby doll head with glowing orange eyes and that cry when ya get too close.

Man I hate parts of that game.

Until you know what everything is and does, that game is under rated for scaryness. It is more jumpy than scary but still freaky as hell. I used to crap myself whenever I heard a feral ghoul scream at me, when you can't see it it is worse

Kinda reminds me playing Silent Hill for the first time and it's all foggy out and all you hear is static and don't know where or what monster(s) is coming for you

It's the whole 'element of surprise' that gets you. Oh ya.. also reminds me of that one computer gamel, 7th Guest...

Bioshock does it to me too, when you hear them all talking and they are all psychos ofcourse, so it makes itt worse, but you have to try and find where they are, and obviously they will either jump out at you, or sneak up on you, or more will come from nowhere and make you have a heart attack

thats pretty evil tbh. (cool, but evil)
still havn't played Fallout 3 yet, but I find Borderlands to be pretty messed up at times too.

Pretty messed up as in the the midgets wielding axes screaming at you and you can't kill them cuz you can't find them messed up?
