Well i have never had problems until now. It seems like when i get to a video with a part that pushes the onboard graphics(nvidia 6100) it makes lines across the whole screen the color of the texture and makes me have to flip the power switch on the surge protector. It also does it while im just surfing the net. It does it on a free game I have too. But in games like day of defeat or hl2dm it just freezes for about 2 seconds and says it had an error and needed to close. The worst part is twice, first when i clicked on source dedicated server and once while i was just surfing the net, it blue screened! I dont think it would be overheating but ive never checked it...The computer is a emachines w3544. Please help!!!!

you probably can't check the heat for an igp, no need to.
first try updating the drivers and see if it happens again.

i updated the graphics driver before i made this thread......YAY....but no. My favorite games day of defeat, had all the textures turned into rainbow looking things so when you play it looks like your high.... :-(

Sounds like your onboard is dying. Try another GFX (if possible). Otherwise, try putting a household fan on the side of your computer (with the side panel open).

well i prayed for it(im not kidding) and messed with it and knock on wood for this afternoon its been working fine. I am going to get a new gfx card pretty soon(the onboard is OK..well it sucks) and hoping i wont have anymore problems.
