I recently built my friend a computer for his brother for a Christmas present (lucky kid got a $1,600 machine!
) and he has had some issues with crashes during programs
Whenever he plays a game, it tends to freeze and accompany an annoying crash of the program. Whenever he plays HL2 and other games it just freezes and either crashes or jumps to the blue screen (dun-dun-dunnnnnnnnnnnn)
What do you think the problem is? He has an ATi Radeon x850 Pro so it's not like he has a budget card! What do you guys think is the problem? I was thinking along the lines of a motherboard issue. He is running an NZXT Nemesis Elite stock PSU, so maybe a power problem? That PSU runs at 400W on it has 20A on the 12V rail.
So what do you guys think it is? I'm thinking either a motherboard issue or weak PSU.
