i was wondering...

would it be possible to put a conputer in a mini refridgerator?
will condesation set in?

or maybe put a bag around the mobo and seal it to prevent moister, put the cold air will still get through the bag.

find a way to mount it on the side of the fridge and have the cable sneak of the side of the door.

would this work? i mean the computer would run so cool! like 8c at idle

any input would be great.
:joe:confused:

......i think your crazy.....lol
if you think about it after a while dont you think your crap will freeze over?
also im not exactly sure how you plan on running them both and not having any water leaking..as in the door or w.e will be open and im sure that the "mini-frige" will have some kinda water leak so......

personaly I wouldent waist the money to find out lol...

I think you're just dumb. There's no way in hell that would work. Why don't you just put some money toward some cooling fans or invest in water cooling? They wouldn't manufacture computer parts if there wasn't a non bizarre way to keep them cool. Why don't you just move to Alaska and keep your computer outside? Are you really doing that much with it that it overheats to this extent?

I think its a neat idea lol. i remember a while back a thread talking about cooling and that the colder the better some mentioned theirs was running in the -'s i beleive.

Condensation would be an issue. In the extreme overclocking world, there is something called phase change. Basicly its a refrigerent gas that is compresses, cooled, and sent to a CPU block where it evaporates. Like a refrigerator. Some of them can produce temperatures of down to -70* C. Then there is a whole other concern. Its called cold bug. Many CPU's batches will have an FSB limitation at under -30* C. So you have to keep on buying FX-57s till you get one without it :P. If you really want one, the best premade one today is the Prometeria Mach II. Its $900 but if you're looking for world records then thats what you want.

NO WAY. Its brilliant. But it'd be really hard to pull off. How would you seal it and still able to plug stuff into it? I love the idea though.

Theres alot easier ways to put a computer to rest...

Without the use of a fridge.

i saw someone that had the same idea on another forum. they also wanted to add a 2 can soda dispenser inside their case.

didnt the guy basiclly collect the cold temperature in those coils and then rout it into his comp with an insulated wire? so techinically that doesnt answer his question but i think that that would be better than sticking a whole comp in a fridge, because it would be hard to put in any cds or nething. This way u could just route a freezing cold wire right where you need it

wait isnt the cooling part of a fridge just those coils in the back and some small unit in the acuall fridge??? so could u fring out a way to customly hand the small lil unit from inside the fridge and suspend it inside your comp for even disturbution? im not toally sure what is the cooling parts of the fridge so correct me plz so i dont look like an ass (thank god for the "edit" button :))

Yea, I think the starter of this thread wanted his entire PC components inside a fridge.... and I dont think thats dumb.

Theres a PC case that has a mini-air conditioner unit in it.
