Yeah, not many people noticed that judging by the number of reviews :D But still, 1 grand will get you an good Q6600 G0.

haha you are really attached to that p35-DS3L, gamexstream, and q6600 g0 arent you?! :P

Weellll, you COULD get an x38 or 680i :P But, the P35/P31's were great chipsets. Budget overclockers that got you aloonnggg way from "budget" (summary - cheap boards that could compete overclocking with pro boards)... The PSU is what I just stumbled on. Way cheaper than those other PSU's, and the amps are crazy :)

Q6600 G0 is just the stepping. You could get an regular one, but then your computer would be your heater :D

I would definitely go with a different hard drive. That hard drive is just waiting to fail!

Other than that, do realize that you will pay more for shipping if you buy from many different stores, as newegg shaves off some money if you ship many items together.

exelstor has been getting some good reviews, and is said to be up there with companies like western digital and seagate, as well as maxtor.

I think the $40 you save from buying that Antec from Newegg is worth the shipping, don't you think?

That's what people probably said when WD or Seagate released THEIR first HDD's... And judging by the reviews, it's pretty good...

Keep in mind 45nm's are comming out in 1.5 montyhs

Exactly. Might be new, but it's reviews say all.

Yeah I wasn't denying the fact that it's cheaper, I'm just saying that if you go a little too crazy with the different websites, it might not be worth it

Unless he has an unlimited budget, I think he'll want to use the lowest amount of money possible, but keeping the quality, :) Don't you think so?

Well the majority of the 45nm, not just the extreme version.

He never said what type. QX9650 is out for $1xxx

Yeah but it sometimes can get deceiving, cause on paper w/o shipping it might seem cheaper, but at the end when you add up all the shipping its more expensive.

I was just saying what he implied.

lol thanks didyouknowthat.

Oscury, read the thread title, a 1xxx$ 45nm isnt gonna help him achieve a build for less than 1000$ ;)

Nice quotes :D

Thanks :D

And I based it offa you, a $1000 45nm won't help him in a $1000 build either ;), if you never posted that, I wouldn't have gone that far :)

It's Oscar by the way :)
