I have all the .vob, .bup, .ifo files for a series on dvd. I just don't know what is the correct way to burn them onto a dvd that will work in my dvd player. Please help.

I do not understand when you said on DVD.
Do you have a dvd that you want to make a backup of or what ?
making a dvd is an easy process but we do not know your intentions

No, he wants to know the correct file type to save it as so it will play on his dvd player. I am no expert but if i am right whatever you burn to a DVD can be viewed on a TV. I never worry about that, i just make the disk and it always works on my DVD player.

Srry Anyways, to the OP. I would try burning all those files to a blank disk. DONT put all of those files inside of a folder. Just copy all files and burn them strait to the disk. Or you can use a program such as Nero, MagicISO, PowerISO to make an ISO out of all those files.

If i had to pick only two this would be it.
DVD fab platinum and DVDsanta.
Ive seen a few i could not copy. this is the most universal.
Pal or NTSC.

Of course im not talking about illegal activity.
Ive been on many cruises with family and bought overseas.
my backup (crusies for example).

dvdsanta is good also. this sucker will easily merge any kink of video.
very nice. used for years.
