creatives cd rom problem

I have got a following hardware problem,
when I insert a cd the cd goes inside in the cd rom tries to read it. The cd rom led keeps on flashing for few seconds n stops n cd comes out.If I don't insert a cd then only cd rom gets close .I m sure that this is a hardware problem. But what exactly is it?Do any of u have any idea?

I've a video cd that I need to watch urgently....
 
if you put the cd in , it starts to read the cd, then the drawer opens back up ? ...or the led just stops blinking ? which one does it do... or different. What OS do you have and is this a desktop or notebook.?
have you tried other cd's in the drive ?
did you clean the bottom of the video cd ?
have you tried the video cd in another pc ?
did someone make this cd ? .... or is it from a store ?

told ya the problem is with the cd-rom. coz i have diagonested all odaz.

cd is good os is good computer is good. the only problem is with cd rom.
