crossfire 6790's?

i was wondering if it would be worth just buying another 6790 1gb 256bit and running crossfire for my yearly upgrade instead of buying a better card.as of now i play bf3 with no lag on high settings but its gonna be another year before i can upgrade again and was wondering whats the best option? rig in sig thanks :D ohh and im adding 200gb corsair ssd

Hmmm, its a tough one. Some games scale really well with crossfire and for those xfire would be great. For other games that have problems it would be pretty much a waste. If i were you i would go through the games that you play the most and search google on how well they scale with multiple cards. If the games you play do well then go for it. if not sell your other 6790 and get a better card.
 
Your motherboard only has one x16 slot, and the other one operates at x4 only. You would want at least x8 for crossfire/SLI. I would upgrade to a better single card.
 
yeah.i was looking at that earlier. as of now i have no probs,but i can give this card to my wife and upgrade shes using 4670 atm. im thinking maybe 560ti or 6950.
