okay so my old flat crt consumes 75w max while the new lcd consumes only 45w max

my question is when i turned off my computer the monitor led will be yellow what i'm asking is should i also turn off the monitor if i'm not using it or should i be lazy and leave it alone since it only consumes 1w in that state could be more for crt cuz if i do that then if i were to power up the monitor then i wont have to powr up the monitor too mwahha lazy.

yes i have to pay for the electric bill. oh how i love the old rental place where i can go all out with the electronics since it is a fixed monthly electrical rate. :D

O..k...? I think I got what you were trying to convey. In the monitor's stand-by state it consumes very little electricity. I suppose if you're really anal-retentive about conserving electricity, than you could turn it off, but really all it's doing is powering the LED on the monitor. On an electricity bill I don't think you'd even notice the difference.

Turn a light in your house on and count to 15............
Ok you just spent about 1 weeks worth of a CTR monitor in stand by :P
