crt flatscreen?

i've seen a monitor which is supposedly a crt flatscreen. i thought only TFT and lcd montors were flatscreen and that crt's were usually bulbous, cumbersome pieces of crap.

could someone clear up the difference please.

1. Regardless of whether or not they are bulbous or cumbersome, CRTs are miles ahead of what LCDs will be able to do even 2 years from now. CRTs set the bar as far as performance go. LCDs are just pretty.

2. Flatscreen CRTs exist .... look at the screen ... its flat ... literally. Well there are variants of the definition of "flat" some mean flat exterior, flat interior, flat both etc Realistrically flatscreen doesnt mean jack unless you actually plan to use the monitor on an angle
