CRT monitor extension cable

I got one of those common extension cables(5 ft) and ghosting is happening.
Do you recommend any CRT extension cable?
Is it better to just install a lengthier cord in the monitor?

I have a 25 foot VGA extension cable that I bought off Newegg with no issues at all, however it's with an LCD. I would try another cable if you have one, otherwise a long VGA cable would probably work as well.

The problem there though is he probably can't remove the cable and replace it with one long one like you can on an LCD.
