Younger bro is looking into playing some 3D games but doesn't have the Gfx card to handle them... Do you guys know of a gfx card that will handle games like mirror's edge and crysis under $50? (for a desktop) it doesn't need to be max settings or anything...just good enough that it will be able to run it on low settings with out to much lag. But if the card can run Crysis on max setting i won't complain

Everything one that list is 50$ or less. Sorry to say but Crysis is a demanding game and it's gonna need a lot more power than those cards can give. And also, you'd probably have to put in a new PSU too if you plan on upgrading a card. Best advice, save up for it.

what is the system he has?

If it is some prebuilt thing, you will need to spend that money on a new power suply before you can even think of getting a video card because the power supplies they throw in them are crap.

You can probably find an 8800gt on ebay for less than $50 which will run any game out now no problems

You might just get away with doing crysis on medium with a 4650...depending on what else is in the system hes going to be playing on.

But like Aasanti said...he might also need to upgrade his power supply too.

He doesn't remember the full specs but he bought a pre-made one with a 450W. but while not ideal it should support those gfx cards you guys showed me. thanks
