Okay, so here is how to get koreans in crysis and crysis warhead to speak korean on any difficulty.

Browse to where you installed the game. Then go to the "Game" folder, followed by the "Config" folder.

before you do anything else, please do this:

Go to Tools > Folder Options and uncheck "hide extensions of known file types"

You should re-check this box after editing the following files.

Next, find the .cfg file for the difficulty you play on. for example, if you play on normal you want to find diff_normal.cfg

Make sure you back up the original file somewhere safe.

Open the respective difficulty file with notepad. You should see a whole lot of commands, followed by a 0 or a 1.

find the Ai_UseAlternativeReadability command. unless you are in the highest difficulty .cfg file, it should be set to 1. all you need to do now is change the 1 to a 0, then click File > Save As. Do not change the file name

Select yes to overwrite the old file with the new one

You should now go back to Tools > Folder Options and re-check "hide extensions of known file types" to avoid completely bricking your windows install

No comments about the rest but this line:

Showing known/all file extensions doesn't brick windows, in fact I think the option to hide them should have never been added.

meh, i started playing in the hardest difficulty, but i never stop to listen to what they says. do they give you clues or what?

i think i ran into a bug. i'm in the map where you're supposed to free the hostage from the school.
so i found her and then there were some tanks coming and you have to kill them right.
well, i did. in fact i killed everything in the map and the story wont continue. wth is up with that?

^ sounds like a glitch

And about the bricking windows thing... my brother did it with that setting... as usual. and i was also partly joking :o

I find the game easy when they speak english because generally they yell their next move out loud in english, and i don't understand korean. :P

Gotta do it right, it works fine.

what do you mean do it right?
i sneaked in using the stealth suit. didn't kill any bad guys coming in, until i was inside the school and only because he was stuck on the stairs, i killed him.

then the other stealth guy comes in and rescues the chick, and says "there's some tanks coming, you take care of them."

right so i get the rpg launcher and destroy the tanks. so i go back to the hostage room , and the idiots are still standing there.

so i figure, well they can't leave cause there's koreans all over the place, so i go out and destroy everything, including the koreans and the chickens. :gun:

so i go back to the hostage and they're still standing there!

wtlol?

Can't say you weren't thorough!! :D

Darn Korean chickens always holding people hostage...

I think once you blow up the tanks your meant to move out to the next village... do you not get any new objectives?

It'd be an awesome feature if you could make them speak gibberish instead of Korean.

Bloopity Yore? -- Did you hear that?
Shakash qwerty!! -- He's right there!!!

lol.

anyone got the problem with the glitching sound that causes bad fps when it happens? first the sound goes "scratchy" then it lags and sometimes if its really bad it goes high pitched... can't be my soundcard because it happened on my integrated audio.. if it matters im using stereo speakers... maybe the game is trying to use 5.1?
