Crysis vs. COD4

Do you prefer Crysis or Call of Duty 4?

Its pretty simple really, which do u prefer and why?

I would have to say COD4 because the action is more and way more intense. Crysis is a bit up and down, sometimes ur in a village having a mad battle and other times ur flying through a cave with no gravity and the odd blue alien thingy to shoot.

EDIT: Thread update. Poll added. Plz still leave reasons why you like the game you have chosen :)

Crysis Has a MAd campain. Theres is unlimited ways to finish it. Maps are so big. AI Is so smart. Most things can be picked up and used as a weapon, How many times have you killed someone with a Tincan? Crysis online is fun until The nukes get old.

Cod4 - Never gets old. Crysis - gets old but better at first.

That level really wrecked the game for me (that and the last one (bloody no-lock-on glitch))

Crysis - first half is good, when your in the paradise and running around awesome environments and shooting anybody in site. The second half, after you start getting to the caves, sucks. I just cheated in that level so it wouldn't take so long to float 2 mph through the caves.

COD4 - Great from start to finish, great graphics still. It's really fun shooting, but just not quite as aesthetically stimulating as Crysis is.

I would have to choose Call of Duty 4 over Crysis, but only by a margin.

im bored with crysis... cod4 is so much more fun because there are more guys who are easier to kill. id rather that then less guys who are harder to kill :)

i would give anything (except money :D) to be able to play online hahah

OMG TELL ME ABOUT THAT GLITCH! I TRIED FOR HOURS AND NOTHING! THEY TOLD ME TO RESTART THE WHOLE LEVEL! Did it alll again... and nothing!!! did it alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll again. Then it worked :(. What was that? 7 hours on 1 level? ARGH!

I started again but on Delta difficulty and the glitch where you cannot follow prophet into the cave (near start) was gone so hopefully that will be gone aswell
 
i like call of duty 4 more, but between the campaigns id say crysis is more fun, because cod4 is basically 1 path to follow and have invisble walls, but in crysis the maps are huge and you can explore the area and finish the mission in many different ways, and you can use the environment 2 help you, and there are more natural barriers like mountains you cant climb and sharks that you cant swim past.

cod4 has awesome multiplayer though

they should have made splitscreen online and co-op campaign though
 
Neither was all that great. COD4 had the more impressive graphics for me, and the gameplay was nice, but it was too short. You also never felt as involved as the previous COD's - there's always a chopper waiting so the isolation never materialised.

Crysis was fun at the start but it felt really restrictive for much of it, and the end was rubbish. No FPS has done aliens anywhere near as well as HALO yet - that was a game, and the end was completely awesome, totally chaotic. There was no real mystery in Crysis.

I've only played multiplayer COD4, and it's alright - the maps feel like they should be bigger to me.

Half Life 2 shits on both from a great height still, which is shame
 
I really like both, however for different reasons. Personally, I think Crysis is sick single player. COD4 single play is good too however the multiplayer is far better than Crysis multiplayer.
 
Ok, this is how I look at both games.

Crysis; graphics, game engine.

CoD4; gameplay, decent graphics compared to Crysis, realistic.
 
Between the 2, I prefer Crysis to be honest. the part where you float through the cave for the first time, it gave me the feeling I had on most of those older Sci-fi horror movies, pretty neat imo =]

CoD4, well, its a good game, but it isnt nearly as good as CoD1 and 2, I dont know, but it jsut doesnt have the same 'feeling' as the other CoD games. not to mention I found the music to be kinda rubbish.

Yes! that was really annoying, actually the music was alright but there was nowhere near enough of it. i found ide go through levels and all of a sudden be like "where's the lush music to get me pumped". I still enjoyed it more than crysis though.:D
 
COD4 FTW!! :P

I played the Crysis demo and it was really good. My only drawback is that my system can barely play it in a mix of mids and higs.

COD4 on the other hand is really easy to max out, as i had everything on medium with my 7600GT, now maxed with current card. Also the multiplayer mode in COD4 is amazing! I love how you have to earn your weapons, perks and weapon attachments.

Did I mention in BIG LETTERS THAT COD4 is the best FTW???
