I can't seem to configure my settings correctly, and the game keeps freezing/crashing..

Specs are in the sig, and my monitor is 1680x1050.

Any tips?

Thanks.

It could need an update I'm few problems with warhead.
It came out yesterday and may need a bit of fine tuning.
Like m0nk3ys1ms said try a re-download.
I'm downloading it over night I'll try it in the afternoon and tell you If i get any of those problems.
What do you think of warhead?

It's fun, I just need to find the right settings..
I'll redownload it tomorrow, I'm currently downloading Warhammer.

The crashing and freezing seem to have stopped, but I still cannot figure out my settings..

This whole Best Performance, Good Performance, Best Visual, Good Visual thing is annoying..

I would like to run my game on my native resolution, 1680x1050, if possible.

I'll install Fraps later, to get my FPS..

Would overclocking my GPUs help, at all? Or a new CPU?

Any tips would be great, thanks.

My friend will bitch at me for getting a quad, when he wants me to get another dual core *E8400*..

But I don't want to buy another dual core.. I'd rather buy a quad and be done with it..

What would a decent priced quad be?

Thanks.

^ Cm'on G4mer, you should know this alreay after those 15,236 "Quad vs. Dual" threads :P It all comes down to what you're going to use the computer for. Let's face it, right now, there's not too many apps/games that support multi-core (as in more than 3). Which leads to my position, which is getting a Dual Core. It would do a better job at gaming than a quad core. And about your question, although the E8600 has the highest clock of the Wolfdales, I wouldn't say it's the best value since you're paying ~$100 over the E8400 just for .33GHz which you may end up overclocking anyways.

The E6300 @ 2.9GHz is enough even for the old Crysis. But you know, doesn't mean A Quad/High-End Dual is not gonna help...

I'm probably going to buy my friends used E8400 which is currently clocked at 4.05GHz, and he's gotten it up to 4.5GHZ stable, and he's on water cooling, but if I want to, I'll watercool the CPU, and he'll sell me his for $100.

I'm getting some low FPS..

I'm wondering if a new CPU would help, a lot.. I'll probably upgrade to the E8400.

Would that be the only think giving me such low FPS?

well i dont own the game but I hear it runs great on a Quad Core with an 8800 x 2

Is the game actually any good?
