Crystal Reports XI R2 Charting

I'm using CRXI and I have a line chart. I'm trying to add a constant line but I can't seem to find anything in the help file for how to do it nor on Google (there's something on Expert's Exchange but I don't have a subscription).

I can fake it by adding a constant field but as some reports that were made before I started have a 'User Line' that you can put at any mark on the chart I know there is a better way I just can't seem to find it.

Does anyone know how I can add a User Line to a new chart?

No one knows? Well thanks anyway. Not too surprising though, SAPs support site is a joke. I haven't found the way to do it yet, I just copy/pasted a chart that had the line already.

That was all I had, I know that the crystal reports crap is pretty heavy Active X. I have never used it, but I have had to help users use it, so I have had to support it in the past. I typically try to stay away from that sloppy ass coded debacle called crystal reports though.

It amazes me how these products get so widely used sometimes. I think it is lack of competition really.

The real kicker for me is the program calls the line in trying to add a user line when I right click it, it says 'Format User Line.' So logically I search for User Line in the programs help file. Nothing. Search online. All kinds of irrevelant links come back.

It's rediculous. I can't believe no one has been able to make something better/functional.

The pie chart labels are horrible too. Most of the time they overlap or are extended beyond the borders of the chart making them completely useless.

I could complain about this program for a long time but it wont get the work done nor is it likely to get anything fixed :(

Yeah it is ridiculous, if you want to develop a new product I will back you and then when you sell billions of copies I can come work for you as an executive!

For anyone who finds this looking for the same thing. Click on the y axis then right click and pick Data (Y) Axis Options... Then pick the Gridlines tab and check Draw Custom Line at: [] and enter the value for the line.
