CS Key anyone?

does anyone have a CS 1.6 key i could use? the original half life keys will work too. i used one but forgot my name and with my new comp i want to play it again. thanks if anyone has one. please PM if you are willing ot give to me.

are you sure, i used my old half life CD key before and i was able to play CS. maybe its not 1.6 but i know if anyone has a half life CD key i will get what i want.
 
well you can but you cant play online. if you play online it will tell you to update and download steam and register the key.
 
wut r u trying to tell me, if i use someones half life key that they dont play CS with then i will surely be able to use it and yes i will register it with steam thats what i intend to do. im not aksing for a sued CD key just if noone used theirs to play online with, say they bought half life a long time ago and thats all they played. do you understand me now.
 
When you install with steam and enter the key with your account then it is logged by Valve is it not? Only game I have is Half Life 2 but I've only entered my key once and with every install I've not had to use the serial.

when i installed half life i never had steam i bought the cd from ebgames. i never used it with steam. so i think if they didnt install with steam or they never used this CD key then i could use it.
edit: got my friends account, no need for this thread anymore.

ya i think so. so your saying you want a cd key that hasnt been used so you can play CS 1.6.
i thought you were trying to do what many people did b4 steam and that was to share cd keys.
but then i doubt someone hasnt registered their key or will willingly give theres up. so its best you either buy HL1 again or find your old cd key somehow.
 
I have the HL1 Platinum edition and all I did was type in the HL1 CD key and all the HL mods came up. And 1.6 does work online too.
