Custom Build Advice

So I'm custom building a new computer and want to check that it is all compatible. For reference I plan to use to for gaming and video editing, although I'm going to update the RAM later on.

that case is not worth the money period. Your paying too much for it. get something http://www.ebuyer.com/263600-nzxt-h2-black-mid-tower-case-h2-001-bk or the like. Its a much better case.

This is going to sound incredibly shallow, but I like how it looks. While it is more expensive than what I should be paying, the main purpose of my case is to impress and amaze me rather than blend in with the background.

It would probably be better to go for a Z77 over a H77, but either will be fine.

I think they are designed for the K series of overclocking chips, which since I have managed to get an extra £100 or so, I will look into it.

There is a lot more of it than that. They have more PCIe bandwidth, and higher memory speed support. they will work with anything built on the 1155 socket.

and In that case, look elsewhere and see if you can get it cheaper. Your money is worth more than american, and american cost less already. your paying about $40 to get the black interior. You should be able to find it cheaper. I personally would not spend much more than 50 pound for it.

I'm with wolfeking about not picking that case, but for slightly different reasons. Yeah, it looks fine, and it has good airflow supposedly. BUT, if I remember correctly the case is pretty small. It might not be able to fit the largest graphics cards (of which the one you picked might be one) without some modification. Plus I have heard it's not all that silent which may or may not annoy you depending on how sensitive you are.
Yeah, having a nice looking case is good and all, but you need to consider function too.

Aside from the case, that build looks pretty kickass. Very similar to the one I put together recently. The graphics card is awesome. :)
I can't find anything about it and I'm pretty tired/lazy so not looking very hard, but is that PSU modular? If it's not, consider a modular model to get rid of a lot of loose cables. It seems looks is important to you, and having a clean interior should be a high priority for you. :) I think the Corsair HX is modular, and the brand is popular.

Edit: And since you're building new, you should probably consider the i5 3570K. It's more expensive, but quite possibly worth the cost. Since you're getting a non-stock CPU cooler anyway you might as well put it to use with some mild overclocking.

It will fit any graphics card invented yet. It is not a small case. Its not big, but not small. And it will run a 12 inch card with the drive cage in, and 15+ inch card with the cage out.

I don't support Cooler master as they are put up on so a high pedestal that there is no way for them to live up. And from my experience it is dead silent with all fans in when there is no graphics card in. My 480 overpowers the sound of all 6 fans plus the CPU.

Can you remove the drive cage without cutting though? I don't have any personal experience from the case, just skimming through some reviews on Swedish sites.
I might be spoiled with the size. Last two cases I have built in have been pretty big. x)

The Cooler master is a ok case, but there are better cases for close to the same money or alittle more. Corsair Carbide Series 300R/ Fractal Design Core 3000/ LIAN LI K60B Black/ NZXT Crafted Series Tempest 410 with 20 bucks off/ NZXT Crafted Series Tempest 410 window and 20 bucks off.
