Custom Build High End

Usage? You could build a sandy bridge rig for half that price which would match/beat it for performance.

I agree with fastdude

You are eating up a massive chunk of your budget on the 980x, but a 2400k will match it or better it performance wise, but cost a third of the price and overclock very, very well. Also, certain things can be changed to either save money, or to give much higher quality parts.

Swap the hard drive with:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227550 for OS/games

If you take our advice to go SB instead, swap your memory choice with:

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151087

slightly more expensive, however it is a much better unit. The Corsair is still an excellent unit, but that one is better at just slightly more

Video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130587

The only difference between that one and the one you posted is the looks and that your has a small (very small) overclock on it. You can save $30 by going with the one that I posted instead and getting a better looking card (imo) and overclock it yourself instead.

Finally, your monitor - go for one with 120MHz refresh rate, that way you will be able to use the 3D glasses that you get with your bluray drive. You need 120MHz refresh rate or greater in order to use 3D
