VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB 16X PCI Express (EVGA Superclocked Powered by NVIDIA

I am going to do a lot of online and offline gaming
I also plan on upgrading to atleast a q6850, maybe 8gb of ram and the latest video cards also please suggest something about the following because i dont kknow much about them: motherboard, optical drive, and the psu

The PSU is fine, the mobo is not bad, but I'd just go with a P35 or x38 mobo rather than a SLI able mobo. As for the optical drive, its mostly all similar.

You mentionned that you would get another GPU, well its a good thing the one there is an EVGA, but I am not sure if the step up program applies to a computer if u didn't build it yourself and have all the required boxes and stuff.
I would suggest you get the 8800GT 512mb or the 8800GTS 512mb instead of that card cuz they both are better and possibly cheaper.

Also, how much is that rig going to cost ?
Have you thought of bulding it yourself ?
Why do you want to upgrade to Q6850 and get 8gb RAM, what exactly do you do that needs so much power and what is your budget ?

right now its about 1,625 for the whole thing but in the future when things get cheaper im gonna start updating a bit it will be cheaper thatn getting a complete new system

But there are thing which aren't worth getting... I wouldn't get a Q6850, its close enough to a Q6600, I'd wait a year or 2, until it get a little outdated, then something considerably more powerful will come out, not something slightly more powerful which will be equally outdated in 2 years.

Getting 4gb RAM is plenty and often overkill, so 8 is just out of question for now. But maybe I'd get 2x2gb instead of 4x1, that way if you want to upgrade, you are saving.

You can also save money by getting rid of the sound card.
