So my mom decided to download this program called CyberPatrol 7.6 on our computer to monitor how much time I spend on the computer. I have tried uninstalling it through the control panel but I need a password to be able to. Is there any way i can access the harddrive to get this crap off the computer? Also, for those of you who are familiar with it, is there any type of spyware or adavvare in it?

Help is appreciated.

the solution is simple: listen to your parents. She put that program on your computer for a reason, you're probably spending too much time on the computer (it may even be a keylogger, I'm not familiar with the program). But for whatever reason, you mom knows better than you do... so you basically have to suck it up and live with it. You won't get help from here.

If it really bothers you so much, talk to your mom about it.

Boot into safe mode by holding down the f8 key while your computer is booting up and then try to uninstall it. If that dont work run avg antispyware, it might see it as a keylogger or something and take care of it for you. ;)

I'm going to close this thread.

Since you're trying to maliciously uninstall something that your mom put on, and in all likelihood your parents own the PC in question, this discussion could be seen to go against #2 of the Forum Rules.

Regardless, the easy way to uninstall it is to talk to your parents. If you don't want to do that, then it's clear you're up to no good.
