D drive vanished

Had a bad virus/worm and had to re-do my computer.
I dumped the memory and reinstalled windows and partitioned 250g hard drive and cant find second partician,..{.C%D drive but now D }has vanished.
 
When you re-partitioned you probably deleted the D: drive, thats if they were both on the same hard drive.
 
if you've got high-speed internet, go to knoppix.org, download knoppix [make sure it's 3.8.2!!!] (and burn it to a cd) and boot into it. once it starts, check how many hard drive icons you see on the desktop. if you have 2 drives, you see hda1 and hdb1. If you've just got two partitions, you'll see hda1 and hda2. If it not on ur knoppix desktop, it's gone. If it's on your desktop, i'll just stand by my theroy that Windows it stupid :D
 
Check your disk management. Right click My Computer and pick manage. Then go to Disk Management. See if its there and maybe not initialized.

Thats the long way to do it, you could try disk management or get Norton Partition Magic. That will show you all the partitions on the drive, and if there is any free space not on a partition.
