D:\ is not a valid win32 application

I keep getting this message that says "D:\ is not a valid win32 application" every time that try to use my DVD Drive. I can view the contents of the drive and all of the folders inside, but I can't install anything or click on autoplay because I get this message. My drive works fine in safe mode, it only has this problem when I boot up normally. It does this with any music CD, DVD, programs, etc. What can I do to fix this.

Thanks

Never came across that problem before on a drive before. If you haven't already, MS has a whole list of (possible) solutions listed here:

Other than that, do you have any other spare drives laying around that you can try out? Browsing through google, I did see a mention of it happening on NEC drives; that might be a possibility if your drive is NEC.
