d-link adapter messed up my network?

I installed a d-link usb wireless adapter on an extra computer I had in the garage. Install went fine and it connected to the wireless network, but now not a single other computer in the house can connect to my neatgear router now. You can see the signal but they just won't connect. D-link computer is working fine, but it's like it screwed it up for all the rest. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So you're trying to connect from the other computers via direct wireless TO the router itself or TO the network adapter? You should be getting two signals - one from the router - one from the adapter
