My MSI mobo has dynamic overclocking which allows me to take HTT from 200 to 211. It tells me in the book that if i want to manually oc, i must turn off the "D.O.T. Ranger". Not only can i not find anything like that in bios, but ive never heard of such a thing. wtf? :confused:

D.O.T.= Dynamic Overclocking Tool

This handles ur ocing automatically. you have to disable this feature to override it. look thoroughly through BIOS, it should be there. Maybe look for Dynamic Overclocking Tool instead of DOT Ranger. Good luck!

ive looked up and down my bios for an hour now, and i can't figure it out. it doesnt even say in the manual. ill keep looking but if anyone has any ideas, let me know plz.

great work johnny! great sites for future reference as well. however, when i manually oc'd, i got the option to start windows normaly, in safe mode etc. "due to a change in configuration." does that mean it is unstable? should i get some benchmark/stability software? :(
Thx BTW :D

no, cpu. just took it from 1.8 to 2.1. ive rebooted since and i haven't had any problems or messages and it only gets to 41C when gaming....
i think its okay
